Welcome to my classroom web-site. It is my hope that you will find this site informative .
I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself: I am proud to be a resident of Lebanon as well as a First Grade Teacher at Lebanon Elementary School. I began my teaching career in Bristol, CT teaching first grade. I spent five years in that position before moving to Lebanon in 1982. My husband and I have raised both of our children in Lebanon and they received their education in the Lebanon Public School system. After taking eight years off to be at home with my children, I joined the LES family and started teaching remedial reading and language arts. During that time, I worked with students in first grade through sixth grade. I enjoyed that position for nine years and then returned to a traditional classroom setting. Since that time I have had the pleasure of being a first grade teacher at LES. I truly believe that communication between home and school is an important component in a child's academic success. For that reason, I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have about your child's progress in my class. You can reach me via e-mail at margaret.rackliffe@lebanonct. You may also contact me at 860-642-5795. You will receive weekly newsletters to let you know what we are working on in the classroom and to alert you to what topics will be covered in upcoming weeks. |
